Many years ago, my husband placed a camera in my hands, and I wandered into the woods in search of something extraordinary. My very first success was a skunk — an image I was determined to capture, even at the risk of being sprayed. That moment sparked a lifelong passion for wildlife photography.
Since then, I have traveled widely, capturing the intricate beauty of the natural world — from sweeping landscapes to the smallest creatures resting on a petal. I often create outdoor studios, where I can work quietly and patiently with flowers, insects, and other delicate subjects.
My work has taken me from being the photographer for a school in Tennessee to serving in the State Archives, but my heart always returns to nature. Photography is more than art for me — it is a way to protect and give back. All profits from my photography support the animal rescue I have run for many years, helping to care for and rehome animals in need.
Through my lens, I invite you to pause, notice the details, and see the quiet wonders of the world we share.
